Located in the Gornergrat skiing and hiking district in the highest Alpine resort in Europe, the Riffelalp Resort offers easy access to is the main street in Zermatt with its many shops and restaurants, as well as activities such as golfing, mountain biking, glacier tours, ice-skating and skiing. The Riffelalp Resort is just a few minutes away from the railway station and the cable cars for skiing access. The Riffelalp Resort is comprised of 65 rooms, 5 suites, plus 2 apartments. Units are equipped with private or shared bathrooms with showers or bathtubs and hairdryers, balconies or terraces, daily newspapers, desks and satellite televisions. Family rooms and apartments are also available at this property. Originally built in 1884 but completely destroyed by fire in 1961, the current Riffelalp Resort was rebuilt and opened in 2000. The property offers amenities such as restaurants, a bar and a wine bar, luggage storage, ski storage, an indoor pool and Europe’s highest outdoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers stone steam baths, stone grottoes and various massage treatments.
