Situated in a quiet central location in the Steinmatte area, the Marmotte Hotel Saas-Fee is close to many recreational activities. During the winter, there is skiing, ice climbing, snowshoe trekking; during the summer, there is tennis, football and golf. The Marmotte Hotel Saas-Fee is close to the railway and cable car stations. The hotel also offers free luggage transport from and to the parking facilities right outside of Saas-Fee. By air, there are direct flights from London to Sion and there are direct shuttle buses from Sion to Saas-Fee. Guests can travel by train to Brig and/or Visp and change to the postbus which takes goes to "Saas-Fee". Each of the Marmotte Hotel Saas-Fee’s 25 guestrooms features a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower and a hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, a minibar, heating, a direct dial telephone, a radio and a television with satellite or cable channels, a DVD an CD player and a LCD screen. Most rooms also feature balconies. Family rooms and wake-up services are also available. Remodeled in 2008, the three-star Marmotte Hotel Saas-Fee is designed in the traditional Valaisan style and offers numerous modern amenities such as a bar, a lounge, a multilingual staff, a fully equipped gym and a wellness center with a steam bath, 2 whirlpools, saunas and a Jacuzzi. The hotel also offers a newly renovated restaurant that serves serve complimentary Saaser breakfast buffets as well as wireless Internet access. Once a week, the hotel serves a typical Valais dinner of Swiss fondue or Swiss raclette.
