This lovely country hotel is ideally located for excursions to anywhere on Iceland's ruggedly beautiful south coast and Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajokull. RY1102 The hotel consists of a group of buildings clustered together. They are architecturally unremarkable, obviously built for practicality rather than looks to withstand some of the world's wildest weather. The restaurant is also noteable for its lovely views over the surrounding countryside from its huge windows. They are simple in style, but perfectly comfortable with lovely views. This hotel is located on one of the remotest stretches of Iceland's breathtaking southern coastline. Countryside 5 kms to city centre 195 kms to the nearest airport (reykjavik)
