After opening in July 2005,the Hotel Highland is the only hotel of real standard operating in the interior of the Icelandic highlands. The property is usually heavily booked during July and August so make your enquiries in due time to confirm availability. The beautiful shoulder seasons of May,June,September and October are also highly recommended. The Highland Hotel is situated in the highlands of Iceland,northeast of the Mount Hekla volcano in southern Iceland.
