Located in the center of the Zermatt village below the Matterhorn, the Bristol Hotel Zermatt is within walking distance of all cable cars and provides easy access to the ski slopes and hiking trails. Recreational activities such as mountain biking, jogging, ice skating, nature trails, and shopping are all nearby. The Bristol Hotel Zermatt is a 7-10 minute walk to all of the valley stations of the mountain railway. There are no motorized vehicles allowed in Zermatt. Only electrically-powered cars, bicycles, horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are permitted. All of the Bristol Hotel Zermatt’s 49 guestrooms feature private bathrooms with showers and/or bathtubs and hairdryers. Units also offer amenities that include televisions with cable channels, radios, free wireless Internet access, direct dial telephones, mini bars and in-room safes. Built in 1959 and remodeled in 1999, the three-star Bristol Hotel Zermatt is decorated in the traditional Swiss style and offers modern amenities that include a restaurant, currency exchange, a wellness center with a sauna, a solarium, and steam baths, a playground for children, as ski rentals, a bowling alley, a sun terrace with deck chairs and loungers, a bar, a tour desk, porter service, a lounge, an Internet access terminal and free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the property.
