Base2stay is located minutes from Liverpool One shopping district, the Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre, Albert Dock, Tate Liverpool, the River Mersey and Lime Street train station. Situated in the heart of the city, within the historic Ropewalks district of Liverpool, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the perfect base for any visit to this vibrant city. This is a superb new addition to Liverpool City Centre. The rooms are generously proportioned and fairly lavishly equipped , certainly in keeping with any other 4 star hotel in the city. Parking is located at the nearly Liverpool One parking complex and guests pay a discounted 24 hour price of 9 GBP. This is a high end product and if you require something a little different, with a secluded central location this is perfect for any leisure traveller. A total renovation of this industrial building was completed in July 2010. Maintaining many original heritage features in a cool, contemporary interior designed decor this hotel is at the forefront of boutique hotel design. Featuring 3 check-in Terminals, the lobby is accessed via key card through the electronic doors and is plush, modern and in keeping with the design of the renovated industrial building that the hotel formerly was. Staff are friendly and courteous. The hotel has no such restaurants or on site bar. However, the "Base Directory" on-screen guide on HDTV lists not only the hotel facilities and the many attractions in Liverpool, but also exclusive offers and discounts available to base2stay guests in some of the best bars, restaurants and clubs with which the hotel is surrounded. Thus whilst there is no bar or restaurant, guests can enjoy even greater choice and value. Breakfast can be delivered to guests rooms or a breakfast voucher (5 GBP) can be purchased in advance or at reception. The hotel offers 106 air conditioned rooms, ranging from Super Singles to stunning double height Gallery Suites. There are also six fully accessible DDA rooms and a hypoallergenic room. The hotel has two high speed lifts to all floors. Baby cots are available free of charge on request. Each room offers free Wi-Fi, HDTVs with internet access, music, games, radio and 50 TV channels, as well as video on demand. The hotel offers every guest room 30 minutes of free local and national calls per day. VPN high speed broadband via Ethernet cable is available at only 4. 95 GBP per 24 hours. All rooms have Air Conditioning, a mini-kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as work space with lamp. 1 km to the nearest fair site (echo arena), 1 km to the nearest station (liverpool central), 13 kms to the airport (liverpool intl), 55 kms to the airport (manchester).
