The Zhongtang Desheng city hotel is located in the Deshengmen, Xicheng district. It is a 15-minute drive from the train station and lies just 35 minutes from the Capital Airport by car. This family-friendly hotel was renovated during the Qing Dynasty and recently underwent a painstaking refurbishment in 2008. It offers 11 carefully restored guest rooms, as well as a traditional Chinese tea bar, where guests can discover the Chinese tea culture and see many old pictures of Beijing Hutong. Fully air-conditioned, the establishment welcomes its guests into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service and a hotel safe. On-site facilities include an auditorium, a games room, a TV lounge and a restaurant. Conference facilities and Internet access also feature, and guests wishing to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes from reception. Room and laundry services are provided and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the hotel car park. Each of this hotel's rooms allows its honoured guests to experience different feelings and after visiting the rooms guests will have a deep understanding for traditional Chinese culture and the old Beijing way of life. The en suite bathrooms feature a shower/bathtub and a hairdryer, whilst in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, a television, Internet access, a minibar/mini fridge, a safety deposit box and an ironing set. The beds are double or king-size and guests will also find tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning and heating in the rooms. The hotel serves delicious Chinese and western food. A continental buffet breakfast is served daily.
