YHA Taupo is an affordable hotel located in the town of Taupo on New Zealand’s north island. This friendly hotel, located in the business district and near the town's shooping area, is just a five-minute walk from Lake Taupo, and offers lake and mountain views from some locations on the property. When you arrive at YHA Taupo hotel, you can relax on the large patio and enjoy the views, or in the garden on one of the hammocks. Better yet, soak in the hot tub for awhile. Afterward, get the barbecue going in the picnic area and prepare a nice outdoor meal with friends. After dinner, play a game of volleyball or pool then take advantage of the hotel’s wireless Internet access to check your email and catch up on news from home. Taupo’s town center is just a five-minute walk from the hotel, and the region is full of fun, adventurous activities such as sky diving, bungee jumping, and white water rafting—but if you’re interests are a little more subdued, there’s trout fishing; hiking the beautiful pristine lake and mountain area; and exploring the region’s many interesting natural wonders, including waterfalls and hot springs.
