The Wyndham Newport Onshore is one of the most centrally located hotels in Newport. Its spot on Thames Street puts it in the heart of one of the city’s best known shopping districts. Thames Street is known for its unique boutiques, craft shops and is frequented by New England antique hunters. Newport’s harbor and marina is just outside the hotel making it a perfect spot to watch one of the city’s famous boating events. Boat tours of the harbor are available. The Wyndham Newport Onshore is within walking distance to all of Newport’s major attractions. The hotel’s front desk can arrange for any necessary transportation. Newport is about a half hour drive from Providence International Airport. Taxi service is available. Guests will find the Wyndham Newport Onshore offers one, two and three bedroom suites with a variety of different amenities. All rooms fireplaces. Some rooms have balconies and whirlpool tubs. Suites come with fully outfitted kitchens with microwaves. Rooms have televisions with DVD players, cable, movies, and air conditioning. The Wyndham Newport Onshore was recently remodeled. The hotel’s many suites offer accommodation for families, but the maximum amount of people allowed in one unit is six.
