Originally a 19th Century farmhouse, Wortley Cottage Guest House is in the centre of the small, historic South Yorkshire village of Wortley. It is next door to the Post Office, village shop, cafe and the Wortley Arms, which has an excellent reputation for fine dining. The three guest rooms (1 twin and 2 double) have ensuite facilities, TV and radio, and a hospitality tray. A tasty full-English breakfast using locally sourced produce is included in the tariff. We're not able to allocate all rooms to Laterooms for fear of overbooking. Ideal for the business traveller, being only 4 miles from M1 J35aJ36. A peaceful overnight retreat, with the Wortley Arms pub serving evening meals, 50 yards away. There is plenty of parking available. Whether you are attending a wedding, party, family celebration, or visiting friends, you are assured of helpful service. Cyclists, walkers, horseriders and climbers are all very welcome - even damp and muddy ones! Secure storage and drying facilities are available. There are plenty of walks and rides from our front door for all abilities. The Pennine Trail and Timberland Trail pass through Wortley. For those interested in the Sheffield Carol tradition, we are conveniently located for Grenoside, Oughtibridge and Worrall. Easy access to the M1 J35aJ36, Sheffield (8 miles), Barnsley (6 miles), and Meadowhall (5 miles).
