The White Horse Coaching Inn is a Family run independent 8 en suite roomed hotel 4 miles from Bury St Edmunds. A Grade 11 Listed historic building with parts of it dating back 500 years. It was built to give overnight rest food and drink to weary travelers. The Inn is ideally located on a returning access from both directions off junction 41 off the A14 Trunk Road being located 4 miles from Bury St Edmunds and 8 miles from Newmarket. The Inn is run with the comfort and convenience of its residents as the priority with access by the public limited. Please note we have no bar and restaurant facilities on Sundays from 3 pm. Year round we offer a well stocked bar and good home cooked food is served every evening (except Sundays) between 6 pm and 8 pm. The Inn also offers plentiful on site parking and free wi fi throughout the building. In spring and summer you can relax in the south facing garden with its outside covered seating area; large lawn and exciting cocktail bar. In the winter we have a cosy fire in our residents lounge. We offer a carefully prepared full lunchevening menu plus our home made specials board which is changed regularly to offer a combination of traditional and exciting meal choices. We use seasonal ingredients thoughtfully chosen and sourced from local growers and suppliers. We also have a selection of delicious home made desserts. All our food is sensibly priced. The Hotel accommodation is located on the first and second floors and is accessed by the original spiral staircase from either the garden through the residents private door (to which all guests are given a key) or through the dining room. The White Horse Coaching inn is charming and all of us here will ensure your comfort and enjoyment during your stay.
