The hotel is situated in a peaceful street of central Paris, surrounded by a vast array of sumptuous shops and restaurants, just 5 minutes walk from the Champs Elysees and within easy reach of the Eiffel Tower. The nearest tube station is Franklin D. Roosevelt, which is a short walking distance on Avenue Montaigne. This is an excellent superior first class property in the classical Paris mould and would be the ideal place for the traveller with a taste for the traditional and splendid. Guests will be welcomed by a committed and friendly staff. It is highly recommended as one of the best hotels in its category, offering spacious accommodation by Paris' standards and a virtually unbeatable location (1008IU). The hotel is a white traditional building which looks very well maintained. The charming lobby is medium in size, decorated in attractive pastel shades. Through the use of numerous old prints, unique furniture and the restoration of many delightful period features it creates a welcoming and homely atmosphere. The hotel has no restaurant but a breakfast room is on the ground floor. Left to the reception there is an honesty bar; a cozy and comfortable seating area which also features an authentic fireplace. The rooms are spacious and in exceptional condition. Each is elegantly but differently decorated either in light or in deep colours with wooden surfaces, in keeping with the general style of the hotel. The fabulous period decorations add an intimate homely feel. The bathrooms are in excellent condition, with white or creamy tiling and marble sinks. 15 kms to the airport (charles de gaulle), 2 km to the nearest station (saint lazare), 20 kms to the airport (orly), 6 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 7 km to the nearest fair site (porte de versailles), 8 minute walk to the nearest metro station (franklin-de-roosevelt).
