Apraksts
Formerly named the Pack Horse Inn Old Posting House in the 1600s, the Welch Gate has stood the test of time throughout Bewdleys history. Bewdley was built as a stop-over town back in the 1600s, due to being the main waterway via the river Severn to Birmingham many other towns cities. Since then prospectors such have increased the size of the town its population to what it is today (12,000+), whilst maintaining its local charm. Linda Steve took over the Welch Gate as a Fish Chip Shop in 1985 have built up a steady satisfying clientele, both locally not so local. In 2000 they changed the business to a diner and received very complimentary reviews from all their customers, plus local regional newspapers. They still carry the torch for Sunday Roasts. The Welch Gate Guest House was completed in late 2008 has already received great reviews from all of its guests. We have endeavoured to create a superb, high quality and luxurious guest house, which is both relaxing and pleasurable, whilst encapsulating the local attractions the vastly historical picturesque Town. We are located in picturesque Bewdley, described by Pevsner as The most perfect georgian town in Worcestershire. All of our 4 double rooms are en-suite with flat screen television, mini bar, tea making facilities and hairdryer. The Wyre Forest, the towns of Kidderminster and Stourport, the Severn Valley Railway and the West Midland Safari Park are all located close by. Hotel Rating: AA (star) 4 star
