Watarase Onsen Hotel is located in Watarase Onsen hot springs area and it takes about 60 minute ride by local bus from JR Shingu station. Also it takes only 10 minutes by local bus to Kumano Hongu Taisha, one of the grand shrines in Kumano-kodo, the UNESCO World Heritage Pilgrimage Routes and Kumano Hayatama Taisha and Kumano Nachi Taisha which are other grand shrines are near there too. In addition to open air baths and private baths in the hotel, there is a giant open air bath outside, which is the biggest one in the Western part of Japan, open from 6 am till 10 pm. Their private open air bath rooms are also available till 11:30 pm with extra fee. Free sending services to Hosshinmon-oji or Fushiogami-oji departing at the hotel are available if you request in advance, so you will start walking and enjoying one of Kumanokodo routes. To help you relax and get away from the hussle and bussle of the city, Watarase Onsen Hotel offeres several services like free ride byciles. The hotel is located both side of the river, so you can enjoy riding by the river. You will get refreshed and full of energy. Dinner and breakfast will be served in the restaurant or Banquet Room. In case you stay in Sasayuri rooms, dinner will be able to be served in your room with supplement. Please ask when you check in.
