Violet Rose Bed and Breakfast is a two story Turn Of The Century brick Victorian built in 1890 by The Woods family, from Canada, who lived in the home for 20 years. In 1910 The Friend family, from England, purchased the home where Alice Mary Friend lived for 70 years. Our large guest room is named in her honor. A lovely romantic room covered in roses and lace and full of period antiques. The home boasts all original woodwork and has been fully restored to it's original grandeur. Violet Rose is on the Historic Register. For years many of the locals have said that Violet Rose Bed and Breakfast is haunted. We find it to be a totally quiet and restful.
