In the heart of the Chianti area, just a few kilometers from Florence is the Renaissance Villa Il Poggiale, classified as a historical home, entirely restored by its owners with the aim of offering the hospitality and atmosphere of a patrician family country house at really affordable prices. The Villa has wonderful light and spacious rooms. The large hall, the heart of the house, with its beautifully painted doors, has comfortable armchairs and welcoming sofas, while various other smaller lounges offer quiet, cozy corners for reading and relaxation. Each room has its own unique character. The walls are painted in soft pastels made from natural pigments. The fabrics used for curtains and canopies come from small Tuscan artisan workshops. Oriental silks, on the other hand, have been used in the salons and rooms on the ground floor. We have the pleasure of introducing you to our new wellness area. Our wellness center has been created to complete your stay among the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside with moments of relax and wellbeing. The wellness center has been specifically designed for Villa Il Poggiale and offers simple and efficient treatments with natural products from the Tuscan territory such as grapes, citrus fruits,olives, honey and essential oils.. We also have a new space with training machines. For all Hydrotherapy lovers there is a warm hydro massage pool with essential oils. At the end of the treatment you can lie down on the comfortable beds in the relaxing area and enjoy a herb or fruit tea surrounded by the natural smell of lavender and Florentine Lily. Light Lunch A light lunch is served on request during the summer in the Tinaia, the ancient olive oil store room overlooking the pool. You will enjoy a selection of Tuscan cold cuts and cheese from the farm as well as our summer salads. A warm buffet dinner We have the pleasure to offer our guests the option to dine at home. Our menu will be based on the best of Tuscan tradition and the house recipes using local produce in season. Dinner will be available from April until the end of October.
