The Villa Igea is situated right in the heart of the city and is one of the few hotels in Venice that overlooks Campo San Zaccaria, which is considered to be a Renaissance masterpiece. Guests are only a few minutes from St. Marks’ Square, and all of its attractions. The Marco Polo Airport is 55 minutes away by water shuttle, or 30 minutes by private water taxi. Guests of the Villa Igea will find public transportation located close by, and a train station located 25 minutes away. There are 17 rooms in the Villa Igea, each of which is decorated in a charming Venetian style. Half of the rooms look onto the sunny Campo, and allow guests to see the San Zaccaria Church. Built in 1975, this 3-star hotel was completely renovated in 2005 and has been outfitted with modern facilities and amenities. Guests may choose to dine on the Italian dishes served in the Villa Igea’s on-site restaurant, or relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the bar.
