Rated a 4 star accommodation, the Arnavutkoy hotel has an excellent location in the historic neighbourhood on the European side of the Bosphorus Strait. Originally built in the year 1800, the villa was fully renovated by businessman and former president of the local Classic Car Club Aydin Harezi'nin. His passion for the styles of the past shine through in the hotel’s classic decor and in some of the services it provides – subject to charges, guests can request to be picked up or tour Istanbul in one of the classic cars in his personal collection. At the elegant L'Ola Restaurant, the specialty is Spanish cuisine, with tapas, paella, and sangria on the menu. The Villa Denise is located in a lively area of Arnavutkoy, in close proximity to restaurants and the ferry terminal. The Arnavutkoy neighbourhood is known for its wooden Ottoman mansions with beautifully decorated facades. Approx. 1 km/0.6 mile from the hotel is the prestigious Robert College of Istanbul, a private high school that is considered the oldest American school still in existence in its original location outside the United States. To the north of the Villa Denise along the coast is the Rumeli Fortress (Rumelihisarı); to the south is the Dolmabahce Palace (Dolmabahce Sarayı).
