The Villa Caterina Hotel is set in the inlet of the bay of Mazzaro, The funicular which takes guests up to the center of Taormina is just 100 meters away. Taormina, an ancient town built on a hillside, is rich in Greek and Roman ruins, architecture across a vast number of centuries, and modern day shops and restaurants. Taormina is on the Messina-Catania line, with trains traveling frequently in both directions. The airport is in Catania, an hour’s drive away, and most hotels offer limousine service. For those with cars, Taormina is on the A18 motorway, and the Villa Caterina Hotel has a car park. The Villa Caterina Hotel has eleven guest rooms (both doubles and triples), each air conditioned. The bed frames are of wrought iron, Caltagirone ceramics decorate the room, and wide windows overlook the Mediterranean garden on all sides. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and hair-dryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, and a safety deposit box. The Villa Caterina Hotel is surrounded by a lush garden of bougainvillea and citrus and olive trees, and has a private pathway which leads down to the beach. There is a small parking area.
