Welcome to Timbers, a distinctive, comfortable family-owned Bed and Breakfast, providing luxury guest accommodation, situated in a quiet peaceful mews, in the prestigious Braiswick area of Colchester. Timbers is owned and run by husband and wife Alan and Angela who have been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. Their vast amount of experience enables them to offer you a friendly, first class service that will make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Each room at Timbers has been individually designed and decorated to offer you the full range of modern facilities, with luxury linens and toiletries provided. Soft, non-allergenic quilts and pillows will help you drift off to sleep and awake feeling rested and refreshed. En-suite bathrooms with invigorating showers and Gilchrist and Soames toiletries in each of the rooms will leave you feeling revitalised and ready for the day ahead. Breakfast is served every day in our cosy and comfortable dining room. We offer an extensive menu of delicious, locally sourced food, prepared and cooked by Alan. Whether you prefer porridge, smoked Haddock or a full English breakfast, all of your needs are catered for including a range of vegetarian options. Timbers Guest House is conveniently situated for the A12, Colchester Town Centre, Colchester North Station (55mins to London by train) and Stansted Airport (40mins by car).As Britain's oldest recorded town, Colchester (Camulodunum) is a fascinating and thriving town in the north of Essex, with many shops and cobbled lanes to explore. There are numerous local attractions to suit a range of ages and tastes, such as the Beth Chatto Gardens, Colchester Castle, Roman Circus, Colchester Zoo, Abberton Bird Reserve, Freeport Designer Village, Clarice House Spa and the famous Tiptree Jam Factory.
