Sitting on the banks of the River Derwent, The Trout Hotel is located in the pretty market town of Cockermouth. It has luxurious rooms, and award winning restuarant, elegant lounges and contemporary Terrace Bar and Bistro. Bedrooms at the hotel are decorated in rich colours and feature satelllite flat-screen TVs with Sky Sports and free wired internet. bathrooms include designer toiletires and hairdryers, some rooms offer wonderful river and garden views. The Derwent Restaurant serves fine English cuisine in elegant surroundings (booking is essential). The modern Terrace Bar and Bistro has a varied menu and also offers a heated outdoor seating area (bookings not required). All the produce used on the menus is sourced locally. The Trout Hotel is next to Wordsworth House, the birthplace of the great poet. Bassenthwaite, Crummock and Buttermere are only a ten minute drive and free parking is avaiable at The Trout. Pets allowed in rooms only . No pets in public areas.
