The Pelham is located on a site that was formerly the plantation of Jean Baptist Lemoyne De Bienville, founder of New Orleans. The plantation was granted to Bienville by the Company of the Indies in 1719 and sold by him to the Jesuit Fathers in 1726. The Order held it until 1763 when it was confiscated. Listed as a historical landmark, The Pelham Hotel is located within just a few steps from Harrah's Casino and within walking distance of major attractions within New Orleans -- just one block from the French Quarter, a short walk to Bourbon Street, and steps away from the Convention Center and the Riverwalk!
