The Park Travellers Lodge is situated at the gateway to both Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park. With the highest peak in the north island and the largest navigable river in New Zealand at your doorstep, The Park is a perfect home-base for guests in quest of outdoor adventure. Even our indoor decor proudly showcases the native Rimu wood! The Park Travellers Lodge features many amenities including an onsite bar, restaurant and cafe, two outdoor spa pools, a 24-hour lounge complete with two fireplaces, an internet kiosk and a large satellite TV. Our relaxed atmosphere offers serenity after enjoying many of the outdoor activities available in the area, such as skiing, a mountain bike ride or a challenging day on the Tongariro Crossing. The Park has a wide variety of rooms designed to suit travellers of all group sizes and needs. Guest rooms include a small fridge, linen, in room heating and an en suite. Motel rooms offer coffee and tea facilities, as well as towels and toiletries replenished daily. There are laundry facilities open daily, a drying room and a public phone for guest use. Dine with us any time of the day in our cafe or restaurant and enjoy a taste of our savory, affordable Spiral menu. Gaze into the mountains from our front patio, bask in the sun while lounging in our courtyard hammocks or relax with a DVD in our TV lounge. Our facility is equipped with a large self-catering kitchen open to all guests from 6:00am to 9:30pm daily. Wireless internet is available throughout the building, in all rooms and at our internet stations which are accessible 24 hours a day. Check in time is 2 pm and check out time is 10 am. Extended check out times are available on request at additional cost. Car parks are available free of charge for guests and we also have power sites for campervans, as well as bus parking facilities. All rooms are non-smoking and we do not allow pets on site. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel.
