Built in 1898, this is the oldest hotel in Hvar, a grand dame framed by Gothic and Renaissance architecture. History lovers will particularly enjoy its central location, which provides romantic views of the ancient piazza and neighbouring buildings such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, as well as glorious sunsets over the bay. The hotel itself has a graciously-aged charm and character that mirrors that of the island itself. Guests can dine accompanied by live ensemble music on the Palm Restaurant's terrace overlooking the yacht harbour. From the Adriatic ambiance to the ancient architecture and the live bands, everything at the hotel offers guests a classic experience. The air-conditioned hotel, which was renovated in 2008, offers guests 73 rooms in total and further facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, and WLAN Internet access. This city hotel is located on the main square of Hvar, just behind the Venetian clock tower with the beach, arsenal and theatre, cathedral, and the Paklinski Islands all within a 5-minute walk.
