The Magdalen Chapter takes residence in one of the most iconic buildings in Exeter. The Edwardian West of England Eye Hospital has been transformed to offer all the sophistication of contemporary English living combined with true hospitality, all wrapped up in a building that has been sensitively restored, combining the very best of old and new. The unique shape of the building makes for an interesting collection of rooms and almost all are different. The decor has been individually styled to respond to the charm of the room; and all have neat little touches to make your stay a little special. Each has an iPad, complimentary mini-bar and wi-fi, and a Nespresso machine. Not to mention the extraordinarily comfortable beds and indulgent bathrooms with generous REN toiletries. The Restaurant with it's theatre kitchen and stone hearth oven, offers a daily changing great British menu focusing on the changing seasons, inspired by Good Cook and best-selling author Simon Hopkinson, created by Chef and the team. Before or after your meal, enjoy a sip of something special in the bar or glass fronted lounge which opens out into the walled garden. The snug in the library offers something more intimate and the chance to meet, catch up or just watch the world go by. For a bit of indulgence, try the Spa, you can enjoy pampering REN spa treatments, whilst enjoying the sense of relaxation and tranquillity. A dip in the inside-out pool is a must. The fireroom with inside pool is just the place to unwind, take a pew and enjoy the experience.
