The Last Word Long Beach is a 5-Star boutique beach-front resort 31 miles from the Cape Town Airport in the village of Kommetijie. Fine grained white sands set the stage for the blue ocean views. There are not many hotels in this area where the sea is right on your doorstep. The beach here has not been overrun with tourists, it is still perfect for walking, horseback riding, surfing or lazing in the sun. Kommetjie is a premier surfing and marine birding hotspot in South Africa and has the countrys tallest cast iron lighthouse available for public tours. From the inviting pool or your private deck you can watch whales frolic a hundred meters off shore and in season, you can catch your own lobster and request it for dinner. Indulgent and attentive hospitality is not overwhelming and brings anything you might need. The 5 star boutique hotel has six ultra luxurious rooms with comfort and style galore, even extending to details on the private patios. Each well-appointed room faces the sea and the bathrooms do too. The interior design incorporates calm blues, hand painted fabrics and splashes of color that compliment the coastal setting.
