Set on the edge of our private lake in the stunning Somerset countryside with uninterrupted views to Glastonbury Tor and beyond. Established in May 2008 The Farmyard is a whole new concept in hospitality offering a high standard of contemporary accommodation on the lakeside of a traditional Somerset farm. It is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and beauty of the country without forsaking the comforts of modern living. Whether you'd like complete peace and privacy in your own state-of-the-art apartment or you'd like to immerse yourself in the local surroundings we are at your service and ready to extend a warm West Country welcome. The Snell family have been farming in Somerset for five generations and have turned their hand to most things including dairy beef pigs poultry and cider to name but a few. Today however the farm is purely an organic producer of beef. Longcroft has been the family home since WWII. The farmyard is made up of a collection of barns including stables and the old dairy which is now Francis House Minty's Barn and Opie Cottage - our self-catering accommodation. Whether you like a relaxing stay with a home-cooked breakfast or self catering in your own private kitchen The Farmyard offers you the option to design the stay you require.
