4 Accredited Guest Accommodation. Within walking distance of the historic Thatched Village of Cockington with its surrounding Country Park, craft centres, tea rooms and local thatched pub. Less than 100 metres to the sea front and the small sandy cove of Livermead Beach. Follow the sea front and promenade into Torquay Centre with its Marina, Shops, Conference Centre, Theatre, Railway Station and numerous delicious restaurants. Situated in a peaceful leafy lane, The Charterhouse offers a heated outdoor pool from May to September, tranquil gardens and large private car park. Our delightful gardens are an ideal place to sit and enjoy a summer's evening with a cup of tea or glass of wine and although we are not licensed to sell alcohol our guests are more than welcome to bring their own favourite tipple. All our rooms are individual with shower en suites, although our new Riviera Room and one of our Family Suites also have bathroom en suites with shower cubicle too. Bedrooms include flat screen TV and teacoffee making facilities. We are very happy to accommodate children in our family rooms. In our two Garden Rooms we are able to accommodate guests who wish to bring along one small well behaved dog please advise at time of booking. We cannot accommodate dogs in any of the other rooms or in the main building. Our delicious breakfasts, often described by guests as a feast' are made using superior ingredients from local suppliers where possible and we now also offer home made breads, marmalades and jams, together with a selection of cereals , fruits and yoghurts. For guests who may have special dietary requirements please let us know in advance so that we can be sure we offer you the best choice for your stay. FREE WiFi now available. FREE large car park.
