The Carpenters Arms is situated close to Swindon, on the Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border and provides you with quality rooms at guest house prices. In the country but just minutes from Swindon, Shrivenham, Wanborough, Blunsdon, RMCS/Cranfield College, Honda as well many other large businesses and towns. We are also ideally placed for the International Air Tattoo held yearly in Fairford. The original building dates back to the early nineteenth century. We are situated on the southern fringe of the Cotswolds. The Carpenters provides an ideal haven for the business traveller or tourist seeking peace and tranquillity. The Carpenters Arms lies approximately 3 miles north of Swindon and is ideally placed for visits to Bath, Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and a host of Cotswold beauty spots. FIVE STAR AWARD The Carpenters Arms is an Oasis of fine food, quality beers and wines and outstanding value for money accommodation. The recently awarded FSA five star award means you can dine with confidence, we are one of only a few pubs Nationally to have been awarded this rating. Home away from home: Working in Swindon but living in Cambridge makes it a bit difficult to commute. This B&B offers a nice place to stay, good food and is affordable. The room is large enough, the shower ( I had the room with the walk-in shower) is a treat. Powerfull, hot and spacious. I have stayed at 4**** hotels without this. The meals, within reason, can be cooked to one's wishes and are always plentyfull. Breakfast: Please note the rates quoted are room only. Breakfast is available byt prior arrangement at £7.50 and is served between 7.30 and 8.30.
