Nestled below the misty summit of Mount Moehau on New Zealand's remote bush clad Coromandel Peninsula, lies pristine Tangiaro Valley. Situated amongst beautiful native New Zealand bush in Port Charles - 1 hour drive North of Coromandel Town - with Tangiaro stream flowing through it, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is a special place - take a deep breath, relax and unwind! A few minutes' drive away from some of the most breathtaking beaches in New Zealand, Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is THE place to go to if all you wish to hear is the sound of birds, the breeze through the trees and the beat of your own heart. Our stylish, unique lodges blend beautifully into the natural surroundings and make you feel as if you are a part of the bush. Fully appointed and designed with comfort in mind, your lodge will help you relax into your visit. -Self contained - Gas cooking in a well appointed kitchen. -A spacious bathroom with shower and bath (baths are in one bedroom lodges only). -One and two bedroom lodges. -A fire place. -Automatic washing, dryer and dish washing machines. -BBQ outside every lodge. Restaurant and Cafe A la carte and buffet available. Our restaurant and cafe has a wonderful selection of foods from tasty breakfasts, to yummy cakes and muffins to gourmet food and old kiwi favorites like the traditional Kiwi Sunday roast. Cafe open from 10am (breakfasts by arrangement)until 4pm, the restaurant is open Friday and Saturday 5pm onwards (other nights by arrangement). We will gladly cook something to your tastes. Tranquil Outdoor Spa Pools - Relaxation Massage TreatmentsOur three outdoor spa pools are surrounded by natural bush. You will be able to sit back and look at the stars or look for bird life in the adjacent trees and bush. Complete your treat with a relaxing massage with our on site massage therapist (appointment only). Weddings - Tangiaro is the perfect setting for a romantic marriage service. Please inquire about the services we can provide you with to make your special day, extra special. Shuttle Service This service is available for our guests by arrangement. Helicopter Landing Pad Tangiaro has a fully functional helicopter landing pad that also serves as an emergency helicopter pad.
