Location Its strategic location provides an ideal getaway venue for holidaymakers and business travellers alike. From the road, it is difficult to miss the sweeping driveway that leads up to the hotel. The spectacular view of the swimming pool, white sandy beach and sparkling blue sea takes one's breath away. The hotel is a 45-minute drive from the Old Mining Town of Sg. Lembing, whilst the village of Cherating is an hour away and Lake Chini Orang Asli Settlement is 90 minutes away. Facilities This family-friendly, club resort is situated on the sandy Balok Beach, in the famous east coast town of Kuantan. The beach hotel comprises a total of 306 rooms of which 139 are Deluxe Garden View guest rooms, 23 are family suites and 20 are executive suites. It blends luxurious accommodation with impeccable personalised service. An idyllic retreat for the weary urbanite, ideal for both business and pleasure, the hotel offers a wealth of facilities including a luxuriously spacious lobby, with comfortable seats for the travel-weary and a constant sea breeze along with a view to die for, making it hard not to unwind. A 24-hour reception desk, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility and a lift are additional facilities. Guests are also invited to take advantage of a bar, a restaurant and conference facilities. Rooms Each room comes with an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer as well as a direct dial telephone, a TV, a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and centrally regulated air conditioning. The floors are paved with carefully selected superior quality homogeneous terracotta tiles the colour of which is carefully co-ordinated with the elegant woodwork in the rooms. Even the finer details of the rooms' amenities have been selected to match. The tastefully co-ordinated earthly colours give guests a feeling of a home away from home. Sports/Entertainment The resort's recreational facilities include a free-form outdoor saltwater swimming pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a children's paddling pool. There are sun loungers and parasols for guests' use and visitors may also enjoy water skiing. The close proximity of the paddling pool to the Garden Terrace allows parents to keep a close eye on their children while enjoying refreshments in the comfort of the garden terrace. There are two flood-lit tennis courts for sports enthusiasts. Sports Lab Fitness Centre, a professionally-run gym, provides a complete work-out for those who want to keep fit and have fun at the same time. A sauna also provides relaxation for the stressed. The games room, adjacent to the gym, is the ideal spot to keep hyperactive children busy; video games, a massage chair, pool table, dart board, etc. are available to occupy even the most restless child or adult for hours. Meals The Garden Terrace serves a variety of Eastern and Western food in a rare but comfortable mix of "kampung" and urban atmospheres. Located on the ground floor, the garden terrace overlooks the swimming pool and the beach beyond. Payment Payment is accepted by American Express, MasterCard and Visa. How to get there By air: the resort is accessible by air through regular scheduled direct flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport or Subang Airport, landing at Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport, Kuantan. The flight takes 40 minutes and is followed by a 20-minute journey from Kuantan Airport to the resort. By road: the resort is accessible by road from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan via the Karak motorway which connects directly to the new East Coast Expressway, approximately 2½ hours drive. A drive to the resort takes 10 minutes from Kuantan Town and Gebeng Industrial Estate, the largest industrial estate in Pahang.
