An airy courtyard, the bathroom, and the kitchen are all newly built. The proprietors, who do not live on the property, can provide laundry service and shuttle service to and from the airport. This reasonably priced accommodation is located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood called Boedo, just off Independencia Avenue. Boedo is traditionally a working-class area, named after Mariano Boedo of the Argentine independence movement. The intersection of San Juan Avenue and Boedo Avenue was immortalized in the tango song Sur; the corner is now a landmark called Esquina Homero Manzi, named for the song’s lyricist. It’s a common venue for tango festivals, and many cafes and restaurants are nearby. Boedo is on the E Line of the Buenos Aires Metro (also called the subte, or subway), which offers easy access to other Buenos Aires attractions.
