Swansea Cottages Award winning accommodation on Tasmania's Central East Coast. Choose from beautifully appointed, air conditioned 45 self rated heritage styled suites in Sherbourne Lodge or fully self contained accommodation with 1,2 and 3 bedroom cottages and apartments accommodation. Some have a two person Romantic Spa and others a cosy and warm log fire. All are in a picturesque village setting amidst expansive and fragrant cottage gardens. Swansea Cottages accommodation is located in the historic seaside town of Swansea, Tasmania(c1821), adjacent the main beach, 30 minutes from Freycinet National Park and just over 90 minutes from Hobart and Launceston. From Swansea, the towns of Bicheno, Coles Bay, St Helens, Port Arthur, Richmond, Triabunna, Local Wineries and the ferry to Maria Island National Park are close by. With beach and tennis courts adjacent (no roads to cross), stroll to shops, a diverse range of exciting and enticing restaurants and attractions including the award winning Swansea Barkmill Museum, Shop and Tavern (50m) , Gallery 19, the acclaimed Bear Cottage Craft Shop and the world renowned Kate's Berry Farm. Whether beach combing, sunbaking on our many pristine beaches, fishing, viewing Shearwater and Fairy Penguins come ashore each evening, cycling (yes we also have bicycles available) be as active or passive as you wish.
