Welcome to Strathearn BB Guest House, a friendly family-run guest house located within 1 mile of Chester city centre. All our accommodations are clean, comfortably furnished, spacious, non-smoking en-suite rooms, with central heating, colour TV, hospitality tray and free WiFi internet access. The house is ideally located for Chester Race meetings at the country's oldest Racecourse, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village, Blue Planet Aquarium, Chester Zoo and the beautiful Cheshire countryside. It is close to mainline Chester railway station and the A56.Chester abounds with history. Visit Britain's oldest amphitheatre, enjoy a stroll around the city walls. The fair city of Chester has had many roles. First it was Deva, a Roman legionary fortress and naval base. This was succeded by Saxon township, Norman border fortress, medieval walled town and seaport, Royalist stronghold, and finally modern cathedral city and county town. It is famous for its unique Rows - lines of buildings, some medieval and others Victorian remodellings, which have shops on galleried walkways at first-floor level. Vegetarians are welcome, please inform me about your special diet at the time of booking a room. Children are welcome, we've got smaller and bigger family rooms for you and you can use our cot and high chair for free. Cyclists, bikers, walkers are also welcome. Drying facilities available in the unlikely event of bad weather. Bikers can use our huge lock-up garage and store the machines safely. Free parking on site.
