Come to the Stone Farm Hostel to experience the beauty and tranquility of the countryside of northern Portugal. It’s an affordable District of Porto accommodation in a beautiful natural environment approx. 8 km/5.0 miles south of Felgueiras and 28.3 km/17.6 miles south of Guimaraes. The Stone Farm Hostel is a reasonably priced guest house offering 36 individual beds in dormitory-style rooms. Guests are invited to use the well-equipped communal kitchen (open 24 hours) to prepare meals, or buy snacks at the on-site mini-market. Other amenities include a living room with cable TV, a game room with table tennis and foosball, a computer centre with free Wi-Fi internet access, and a self-service laundry room. Outside there’s a swimming pool, a basketball court, and a badminton court. The guest house provides free shuttle service to the train station in nearby Caide de Rei, upon request. This guest house is located in the village of Airaes, in the Sousa Valley (Vale do Sousa). At the front desk of the Stone Farm Hostel you can purchase tickets for numerous guided tours by van: a full-day tour of the Douro Valley (Amarante and Peso da Regua, including a port wine vineyard); a full-day tour of Minho Province (Guimaraes, Braga, Ponte de Lima, and Viana do Castelo); boat cruises on the Douro River; and half-day or full-day tours of the city of Porto (sometimes called Oporto in English). The Stone Farm Hostel is approx. 41.4 km/25.7 miles from Porto Airport, sometimes called Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport.
