Spylaw is a small farm and is part of the Environmental Stewardship Scheme. The accommodation is airy, stylish and simply decorated, offering a friendly, calm and peaceful environment for your holiday. We are dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable experience, putting you at ease and making every visitor feel relaxed and most welcome. Our passion for the area, locally sourced and home produced food, our beautiful home and gardens are completely infectious and we are always happy to share our local knowledge with our guests. There is plenty of information on beautiful places to visit, walks to try, birds to watch and local eateries for lunchtime and evening trips. In the heart of Northumberland’s rolling countryside, we are within four miles of a designated AONB and some eight miles from the Northumberland National Park. The magnificent beaches of Bamburgh and Ross and the Heritage Coastline with its imposing castles, are within some fifteen minutes drive. Ideally located for you to explore the Northumbrian countryside, historic hill forts and battle sites, the farm stands alone with fantastic views to Chillingham, Old Bewick and the Kyloe Hills. Being close to the Farne islands, Lindisfarne and Budle Bay there is plenty of opportunity for bird watching visits throughout the year, where you enjoy our local species including Curlews, Lapwings, Field Fare, Tawny and Barn Owls and Buzzards, to name but a few. We offer bird watching days too, so please ask for more details. Our enthusiasm for locally sourced Northumbrian food, featuring local fish, game, meat and cheeses makes cooking so much fun. We are members of Slow Food and Andy's market garden provides seasonal goodies for our delicious award winning breakfasts and hampers, afternoon teas, suppers and dinners. Bread and cakes are freshly made each day. If booking for a special occasion, let us arrange those extra touches for you including flowers, champagne or a romantic dinner for two.
