Vitoria, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, is the setting for this hotel, its namesake. Hotel Silken Ciudad de Vitoria is located in the heart of the historical part of Vitoria, with easy access to Bilbao, San SebastiA¡n and the Rioja wine districts. Behind the classical lines of its splendid faA§ade lies a contemporary hotel in terms of both furnishings and service. Access to its 149 welcoming, comfortable and refurbished (2007) rooms is through an impressive, luminous foyer whose great skylight floods it with natural light. Its six modular public rooms have a full range of audiovisual resources, making them an ideal setting for celebrations, business meetings or conventions. Following the gastronomic theme of the city, whose fame is well-deserved, the Restaurante Vitoria offers recipes from traditional Basque cuisine and a selection of chefa€™s dishes that show off their originatora€™s creativity. The hotela€™s cafe, with its pleasant atmosphere, is also a good place to meet. Its large windows open onto the street, and throughout the day you can sample a wide variety of traditional, tasty snacks of a€œpinchosa€ and a€œbanderillasa€ from Basque Country cuisine, single-course orders and sandwiches. The piano bar, open till two in the morning, is a welcoming and comfortable spot with a cordial ambience, where you can choose between a wide variety of expertly-made cocktails while listening to live music. The fitness centre ensures guests can keep in shape during their stay at the Ciudad de Vitoria. You can relax in the sauna, the hydro-massage or the Turkish bath, and a masseur is available on request (all at a charge). Confort rooms (20 sqm) are external and luminous, and are furnished in a modern, comfortable and functional style. The warm colours offer a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are equipped for your complete comfort: a large desk, 26a€ plasma TV with Canal +, as well as air-conditioning and individually controlled heating.
