Choose the affordable Hotel Sigalas when you travel the Greek Islands. This attractive Kamari, Santorini hotel has a fantastic location on the beach, within walking distance of the centre of the village. The Hotel Sigalas has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by a patio area where flowers and fresh grapes dangle from the arbors overhead. At the pool bar, you can enjoy sea views over breakfast in the morning and come back later for a relaxing drink. There are free sunbeds, and the hotel provides safe deposit boxes and free wireless internet access in the public areas of the property. Accommodations are cleaned daily, with towels and linens changed twice a week. Kamari, on the southeast side of Santorini, is known for its long beach of black sand and pebbles, as well as for its relaxed atmosphere. Many restaurants, bars, and clubs can be found along the beachfront promenade or at the centre of village. The name Kamari comes from Kamara, the Greek word for arch; the village is named for the ancient arch at the southern end of the beach, which is all that remains of a sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon. You can walk or take a bus up to the ruins of the ancient city of Thera (or Thira), on the steep mountain of Messavouno, overlooking Kamari.
