The Seven Stars Inn is located just outside of the Durham city center in the lovely Shincliffe village. Guests at the hotel have easy access to Durham’s sights, including the cathedral, the castle, and several museums. The hotel, being outside of town, also offers guests a quiet stay and access to other areas of northeast England. Because it is near main roads and outside of town, the Seven Stars Inn is easy to get to by car, but it also allows guests access to bus stops and Durham’s central train station. The eight rooms of the Seven Stars Inn all include en-suite bathrooms, televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, and free wireless Internet access. This 18th century country inn features plenty of modern amenities, including an on-site restaurant that serves meals three times a day; the hotel uses seasonal, local produce to make its wonderful meals, and guests can also enjoy wines and ales at the hotel’s bar. The Seven Stars Inn caters to a peace-loving crowd, and it does not allow late arrivals.
