Sea Wave Studios is a traditional whitewashed building in the charming style so typical of the South Aegean islands. It was designed by a well-known local architect, and the furniture was handmade by local craftsmen. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the lobby and other public areas. The English-speaking staff at the apartment complex is eager to assist you with current information on touring Santorini and with ATV or car rental. The apartments are located just 150 metres/165 yards from Perissa’s black sand beach. Numerous restaurants and cafes can be found along the shoreline, and a supermarket and a bus stop are just 1 block away. Mini buses leave regularly for Fira (also called Thira) and for Ia (sometimes spelled Oia). A water taxi can take you around the headland to neighbouring Kamari. Among the more interesting local historic sights are the archaeological ruins at Messa Vuna, on the summit of the mountain between Perissa and Kamari, and the ruins of Ancient Thira.
