The Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier comprises two distinctive wings. The Douglas and Graham wings are within the Franz Josef Village. The Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier is close to Franz Josef township, heli-rides, bushwalking and the Hukawai Glacier Experience and Indoor Ice Wall. The Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier has a selection of dining choices during the peak summer months with both buffet and a la carte options available to get you off to the best start for a day of site-seeing or to make the perfect end to a day of explorations. The Glasshouse Restaurant, located on the first floor, offers spectacular views of the surrounding lush environment and mountain ranges as a serene backdrop for your meal. The Glasshouse Restaurant is open from October until April for breakfast from 6.30am until 9.30am and a la carte dinner from 6pm until 9pm. Canavans Restaurant is open year-round for buffet breakfast from 6.30am until 9.30am and dinner from 6pm until 9pm while the Rata Bar is also open year-round from 4pm.
