Scandic Swania is beautifully located in the town centre, by the waterfront of the canal. The building was designed and built in the early 1900s as the city hall, and the original paintings on the ceilings still survive. The restaurant, Cafe Grand Bar & Matsalar, is decorated in a modern style while retaining some of the old, charming details. This is an ideal place to enjoy a good meal while watching the ships passing by outside the window. .The hotel offers various room types, to allow you to choose the one that best suits you. The hotel has 196 rooms, decorated in Nordic style and fully equipped with WC, shower, TV and telephone. They are designed, decorated and equipped to ensure you can relax, work and get a refreshing night's sleep. Do you want to work or just relax? The rooms are perfect for both. Large, spacious rooms with canal views and furniture for meetings. Swania Nightclub is open every Saturday from 9:00 PM, for everyone over 21 years of age. Enjoy a drink at the bar, swing around the dance floor or sing along with the karaoke machine. The Lobby Bar is open every day. We serve beer, wine, coffee, and light dishes. We also offer TV entertainment 24 hrs a day. Cafe Grand is a modern restaurant, beautifully covered with glass and offering a view over the Trollhatte Canal. The hotel offers a range of certified KRAV (organically produced) food. This is also a splendid place to enjoy a drink or a cold beer.
