The Scandic Linkoping City is a modern, glass-fronted hotel overlooking the Stangan River, located one kilometre from the cathedral and three kilometres from the Old Town. This six-floor hotel features 216 air- conditioned guestrooms, decorated in contemporary Nordic style using a palate of warm earthy colours, with wooden floors and panorama windows which open onto balconies overlooking the river. All rooms include satellite TV with pay movies, high-speed Internet connections and minibars. Guests benefit from complimentary use of the 24-hour LivingWell gym, equipped with modern cardiovascular machines and free weights, as well as an exercise bike, treadmill and stepper. After a workout guests can unwind in the sauna, which has separate areas for men and women. The contemporary restaurant is naturally lit by floor-to- ceiling windows overlooking the river and park; Mediterranean cuisine is served and in the summer guests can dine on the outdoor terrace. Business guests enjoy access to 10 meeting rooms, all with natural daylight and audio-visual equipment, and a business centre which is open round-the-clock. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the public areas for guests who wish to plan a day's sightseeing, and staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide further information on local attractions and activities. Guests arriving by car will find parking spaces in front of the hotel and in the heated basement garage (surcharge applies). The hotel is within walking distance of the river and cathedral, both within one kilometre, while the historic old town is three kilometres away.
