Sandwick Bay is a lovely, family-friendly bed & breakfast in Stornaway is located on a quiet, residential street on Scotland’s Isle of Lewis. The property is just a five-minute walk from the ferry, ten minutes from the town centre, and right across the street from the bay, offering wonderful sea views. After a long day travelling, stretch your legs in the enclosed garden as the kids work off their pent-up energy. Mornings at this hotel alternative offer delicious, full breakfasts, which include the region’s famous black and fruit puddings. After breakfast, allow the kids to choose from a selection of toys and books while you admire the views of Sandwick Bay and beyond. If you’d like to hire a babysitter for the evening, the B&B can make such arrangements for you. The property is within walking distance of Stornoway town centre, and also nearby, you can visit the Lewis War Memorial, dedicated to Lewis-area men who lost their lives in World War I. The Lewis Castle, built in the mid 1800s, is another interesting area site and you can play a round of golf on the 18-hole golf course located on the castle grounds.
