The Samuel Durfee House is an elegant 1803 Federal Period Inn. Convenietly located downtown in Newport, Rhode Islands Yachting Village, we are just a block from the restaurants and shops on Thames Street and a block and a half from Bellevue Avenues boutiques, mansions, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The inn has been beautifully apointed with period antiques and reproductions. Each of our five guest rooms has been uniquely decorated with four-poster or ornamental queen bed or two twin beds. All guest rooms have private bathrooms. Enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning in the dining room or outside on the patio. After a day of touring Newport, we welcome you to relax in our sitting room while enjoying afternoon refreshments. The inn is air conditioned in the summer months and private off-street parking is provided. Check-in is at 3 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information.
