Sails in the Desert provides guests with 5-star comfort at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort. Named after the soaring white sails that crown its roof, this is Voyages Ayers Rock Resort's premium hotel. The interior decor focuses on Aboriginal heritage and culture, with a gallery in the lobby and significant artworks featured throughout the public areas and in the private rooms. Slip into comfort right in the heart of the central Australian outback at Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel. Relax in beautifully appointed rooms, enjoy a cocktail in the lovely grounds, or sit back and relax under the magnificent white sails. Deluxe Suites are over twice the size of the Spa Rooms and provide separate living/dining and sleeping areas. Suites feature multiple balconies overlooking the garden. French doors connect the indoor spa to the bedroom. Interconnecting rooms are available. The Spa Rooms have extended balconies with an open-air spa. The rooms are configured with a deluxe king or twin queen beds and include air-conditioning, TV, movies on demand, minibar and bathrobes are provided. Standard Rooms feature modern bathrooms with the latest amenities. Rooms feature twin queen beds or a deluxe king, and can accommodate up to five people. The Hotel also features the acclaimed Mulgara Gallery, the lively, buffet-style Winkiku Restaurant, tapas-style cuisine by the pool at Rockpool (seasonal), and the award winning signature restaurant of Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, Kuniya Restaurant. Inclusions: Return airport transfers from Ayers Rock Airport to your hotel & free use of Ayers Rock Resort shuttle bus service. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Sails in the Desert Rooms and Restaurant Refurbishment Works Program (31 January 2012 - mid Sep 2012): Sails in the Desert have planned refurbishment and renovations. The renovation will be administered in phases, and whilst it is designed to ensure any impact to guests staying at the hotel during this period is limited, some noise and sight pollution will be evident during daylight hours. Alternative dining options are available within Ayers Rock Resort (between 31 Jan - 31 Jul 2012).
