Rufflets Country House Hotel, St Andrews one of the oldest established and highest quality Country House Hotels in Scotland. The turreted mansion house, set in 10 acres of award-winning gardens one mile west of St Andrews, has been in the same family ownership since 1952. Rufflets offers a wide variety of accommodation options with 24 individually designed bedrooms and two self contained 4 star Lodges in the grounds, making the hotel a favorite for weekend and short breaks. The Terrace Restaurant is recognized as one of the finest in St.Andrews and the surrounding area, with the hotel's own garden supplying much of the fresh produce. Our renowned service and attention to detail make the hotel a favorite for Weddings, Civil Marriages and corporate events. Regarded as one of finest hotels in St Andrews, Rufflets has been awarded 4 Red Stars by the AA and 4 Gold Stars by Visit Scotland. Rufflets Terrace Restaurant has been awarded two AA Rosettes for the past six years in recognition of the high standard of food. The restaurant is a popular dining out spot for local residents and features in all the major guides. Our head chef, Mark Nixon, makes full use of Scotland’s natural larder in his menus. Locally grown vegetables, soft fruits and herbs supplement our own seasonal garden produce. Fresh pastas, chutney, ice creams and sorbets are all made in house. Open for dinner daily from 7pm to 9pm. The split-level Music Room Bar, with antique oak fireplace and large over mantle mirror, is where light lunches (Mon-Sat, 12.30pm to 2pm) and bar suppers (Sun –Thur 5pm to 7pm) are served. Guests can choose from a seasonally changing brasserie style menu, offering a selection of dishes to suit all appetites and tastes, from sandwiches to steaks, all individually priced.
