Location Rich in tradition, this hotel is located in the heart of South Beach and is only 2 blocks from the beach. Countless restaurants can be found within easy walking distance, with links to the public transport network only one block away. Facilities The hotel has created an atmosphere that is as much about comfort and convenience as it is about style. When guests enter they will be surrounded by expressive decor and style that serve as both a compliment and an innovative contrast to the original Art Deco style of the building. Constructed in 1938, this air-conditioned hotel is one of the most famous constructions in the Art Deco district and was renovated in 2003. It comprises a total of 42 rooms spread over 3 floors. The inviting lobby features a 24-hour reception with a lift and a safe. Further facilities here include a newspaper stand, a restaurant with highchairs for children, and public Internet access. Room and laundry services round up the offerings, and there is parking available for those arriving by car. Rooms The brightly coloured funky rooms have Italian marble flooring and all come with an en suite bathroom and hairdryer. Standard fittings include a digital safe, hairdryer, flat-screen cable TV (HBO), CD player and high-speed Internet access. A double bed, carpeted floors, and individually adjustable air conditioning and heating are also provided in all lodgings as standard. All rooms feature kitchenettes with sinks, fridges and coffee makers, dishes, pots and utensils. Sports/Entertainment Guests have access to a small gym across the street with exercise equipment such as treadmills, bikes and weights. The hotel features a terrace with lounge chairs. Meals The lobby features vending machines with a variety of small snack foods. Payment American Express, MasterCard and VISA are all accepted methods of payment. Misc. There is a locally payable resort fee of $5.00 + 7% tax per room per night. This charge covers wireless Internet access, local and 800 calls, VIP nightclub passes, in-room microwave and fridge, beach towels and beach chair.
