Location Located on the banks of Charles River on the Cambridge side of Boston, this elegant hotel offers a stunning view of Boston's skyline. It lies opposite Galleria shopping centre, beside the Museum of Science and the information centre for the Boston Duck Tours. A variety of bars, restaurants, shops and public transport stops are located in the vicinity. Within a few minutes guests will reach the other side of the river with plenty of the city's cultural sights, the city centre as well as Facilities Enjoying a contemporary style, this 10-storey hotel was renovated in 2005 and comprises a total of 400 rooms, of which 14 are junior suites, 23 are suites and 19 are wheelchair accessible. Facilities within the air-conditioned city hotel include an elegant foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk and several lifts. Dining options include a cafe, bar and 2 restaurants with outdoor seating by the river (open seasonally). Fees apply for the room and laundry services as well as for the bicycle hire service. Further facilities within the hotel include a bicycle storage facility and, for an additional fee, Internet access as well as WLAN access. Business guests may make use of the conference rooms and those arriving by car may make use of the car park and garage facilities (fees apply). Rooms The comfortable rooms each come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, and a double or king-size bed. Each room comes with a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a hi-fi stereo system, an Internet connection, a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. Furthermore, an iron and ironing board, central heating and air conditioning come as standard. carpeting and a hire safe feature as standard. Rooms with views out over Charles River and the impressive Boston skyline may be booked on request. Sports/Entertainment In the outdoor complex is a heated swimming pool as well as a sun terrace where sun loungers have been laid out ready for use. It is possible to work out in the in-house gym or to explore the surrounding area by mountain bike. Further leisure options include a Jacuzzi, an indoor pool, a sauna, a solarium, spa treatments and a massage service. It is a 15-minute drive to the nearest golf course, and guests can also explore the surrounding area on mountain bike. Payment American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA are accepted as methods of payment. Misc. Family plan: 2 adults and 2 children (up to the age of 17) are able to share the available beds in the double rooms. A complimentary shuttle service takes guests to the sightseeing attracitions as well as the shopping areas of Boston and Cambridge. The Summerfest Special: (from the last week in May to the first week in September) free bicycle use to ride along the Charles River Esplanade, free scenic boat rides with the Charles River Boat Company, free ice cream from the outdoor ice cream cart and on Saturdays there is a pool game, prizes, crafts and more.
