Welcome to Romaneira - the quinta dos Sonhos - house of dreams in Portuguese-. An estate- which stretches over 400 hectares- on the banks of the river Douro. There are no telephones- no televisions- just the waters of the Golden River as the show. No reception- no hours- no menus to choose from- but a chef who invites you to discover surprises on your plate. The style of the 19 room and apartments is reminiscent of the heydays of the explorers and pays tribute to the colonial spirit with Portuguese-Brazilian and English flourishes. It is in this decor that you will enjoy different experiences- a rustic picnic- lunch under the arbours- a siesta in the shade of an olive tree- a boat excursion- not to mention of course- the delicious gourmet moments in the chocolate factory or Port tasting in the old cellars.
